After receiving my advance reader copy of Hold Your Breath,
I immediately lent it to Mom and Dad.
Since they’ve been vicariously sharing the author experience, offering advice and title suggestions (“Ice Crusher” being my favorite result of their brainstorming session), my parents had first dibs on the book. After reading, these are their reviews:
Mom: “Finished your book and am “holding my breath” because ____ said “_________________” [spoilers removed]. Can’t wait for the second one!”
Dad: “It took Lou four chapters to get it together, but I can see how people would enjoy reading this.”
There you have it–two fairly positive (although one is slightly ambiguous) reviews of Hold Your Breath from people closely related to me.
