Mornings are beautiful out here, but sleep is even more beautiful. When the dogs woke me up at the crack of dawn this morning (they’re helpful like that), I headed outside to sweep the latest layer of snow off the solar panels. Since I planned on returning to bed immediately after, I tried to keep my eyes closed as much as possible. After throwing on my coat, hat, boots and gloves, I stepped outside and shivered. It was cold! Like, even-colder-than-it-should’ve-been-cold cold. A brisk breeze made me realize that I’d forgotten to put on pants. Mystery solved.
After donning the all-important clothing item, I returned to sweep off the solar panels:

threw some logs into the wood boiler:

and went back to bed.
I love self-employment!
